zara in rome, duccio grassi architects, photographs taken by Andrea Martiradonna (archdaily). the original classical building was constructed in 1886 with pure geometry, unbelievable interior volumes and huge windows looking out toward the city and has recently been redone for retail space.  what a successful stunning historical building restored and retrofitted for commercial use.
